"Rythym in the Making" MADE in Kilkenny Exhibition 2016

Thank you to everyone who came along to the annual Made in Kilkenny Exhibition in Butler House last week.  For anyone who didn't make it this is one of the pieces I had on display, Forged 18ct yellow gold "Neume" ring.  The theme of the show was "Rhythm in the making" so I took inspiration from the old Christian chanting music which was used simple square music notes called Neumes  which were the pedecesor to the contemporary five-line staff notation.

New Flower Ring

As promised here's the new 18ct white gold Mechanical Flower Ring!  This piece has a central 0.23ct brilliant cut diamond (Clarity VS1, Colour E/Rare White) and a small brilliant cut diamond pave set in each petal! (excuse the amateur snap)

Irish Country Magazine April 2016

Lovely bit of press for my Diamond Flower ring this spring.  Just working on another version of this in the studio at the moment in 18ct white gold with a central brilliant cut diamond & a small diamond pave set in each of the petals... photos to follow in the next month or so!

National Craft & Design Fair 2015

I was really delighted to see one of my pendants on the invitation for the National Craft & Design Fair this year.  It runs from the 2nd to the 6th of December in the RDS & as an exhibitor I have some free passes for clients so please email me with your address if your thinking of going.  You'll find me (with lots of new jewellery) at the same stand as last year, number B44 on the Balcony. 

Alternative Engagement Rings

I've been getting some lovely engagement ring commissions recently.  This one is particularly pretty made in white gold with two brilliant cut diamonds and a cushion shaped top quality aquamarine as the central stone... congratulations to the lovely happy couple!!

Made in Kilkenny Exhibition

Delighted to be participating in this years Made in Kilkenny exhibition in Butler house open from 10am - 6pm 7th the 16th August.  This is one of the pieces I have in the show which oficially opens this evening at 5pm

Ruby wedding anniversary

Lots of wedding anniversaries this time of year and here's one of the special commissions I've made  recentlyfor a 40th wedding anniversary.  The Ruby is 1.02ct surrounded by 0.30ct of brilliant cut diamonds in a forged 18ct yellow gold ring.   This was a surprise gift... lovely to see this kind of romantic gesture after 40 years!

Sunshine Ring

Been working away in the studio on a few new shiny things.  This is my favourite recent piece... the sunshine ring... a large Citrine gemstone set in a clean, uncomplicated & modern 18ct yellow gold ring with 18ct white gold detail.  A few more interesting pieces to come over the next couple of weeks... photos to follow!! 

New Signs

Nice surprise to find my new signs installed this morning.  Look out for my Punk Rocker teapot keeping guard in the front window!  The new premises is number 19 Rose Inn Street, overlooking the parade in Kilkenny City.  I'm located on the first floor above Kilkenny Crystal.  Open Tuesday & Thursday - Saturday 10am - 5pm (available Wednesday by appointment).

OPEN FOR BUSINESS

After a few small delays and setbacks my new studio is now open to the public.   I am so pleased with the way the studio worked out, a beautiful space with a fantastic view overlooking the Parade and Kilkenny Castle.  For the moment I'm open 10-5.30 Tuesday, Thursday, Friday & Saturday.  Plenty of work on display and of course still available for private commissions.  Pop in to see me, First Floor 19 Rose Inn Street, Kilkenny!!
